Selection Book · Getting started
Install Selection Book. Keep your project close.
Use the PWA on your desktop, iPhone, iPad or Android device. Start with buyer access, choose your installation option and prepare offline use.
1. Getting access
- Open buyer access in the browser you intend to use and enter the email address used for your existing purchase.
- Select Send access link.
- Open the newest RenoKeep access email. Use its one-time link within 15 minutes. Open it in the same intended browser, rather than an email app's embedded browser.
- Select Confirm buyer access, then Open Selection Book.
You do not need a new RenoKeep account. Repeat email access recovery when changing devices or browser profiles. Access recovery restores your purchased access, not your project files. Never forward an access link.
2. Choose your platform
Use Selection Book in a browser or install it for a separate app window or home-screen icon. These are the recommended platform and browser combinations for the PWA; use current versions.
| Platform | Browser | Installation |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge | Install from the browser menu; reopen from Start or the app launcher. |
| macOS | Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari | Install from Chrome or Edge. In Safari on macOS Sonoma 14 or later, use Add to Dock. |
| iPhone and iPad | Safari | Share → Add to Home Screen. Enable Open as Web App when offered. |
| Android | Google Chrome | Use Install or Add to Home screen from Chrome's menu; wording varies by version. |
Buyer confirmation and initial offline setup need internet. Check offline readiness in the browser or installed app you will use: wait for Ready offline. After setup, local project work can continue offline. Updates and buyer-access recovery need internet.
Firefox, Samsung Internet and other browsers
Browser use requires working local storage and offline web features. Installation is a separate browser capability. Current Firefox on Windows offers web-app windows; its installation options differ on other platforms. Samsung Internet on Android also supports web-app installation, with its own menus. The step-by-step instructions here use the browsers in the table. A shortcut alone does not confirm offline readiness.
Use a regular browser window with website storage allowed. Private browsing, embedded email/social browsers and managed-device restrictions can limit storage or installation.
Desktop ZIP: The desktop ZIP is a separate local-file edition for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on Windows. PWA installation instructions do not extend the ZIP's compatibility.
Install on Windows
- In Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, complete buyer access and open Selection Book itself. Install the PWA page, not the access form or public demo.
- In Chrome, open More → Cast, save, and share → Install page as app, or use the install icon in the address bar when offered.
- In Edge, use the app-available icon in the address bar, or Settings and more → More tools → Apps → Install this site as an app. Follow the browser's confirmation.
- Reopen Selection Book from the Start menu or app launcher. Chrome also lists apps at
chrome://apps; Edge atedge://apps.
Menu wording can vary by browser version. You can also keep using Selection Book in a normal browser tab.
Install on Mac
- Confirm buyer access and open Selection Book in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari.
- In Chrome or Edge, use the browser's install icon or menu as described above. Follow its prompts and reopen the app from the browser's app list or the shortcut it creates.
- In Safari on macOS Sonoma 14 or later, choose File → Add to Dock, or Share → Add to Dock, then Add. Reopen from the Dock, Applications or Spotlight.
Safari web apps keep their own website data. Existing browser projects are not automatically moved into the new app. Export a backup before switching and import it where you want to work.
Install on iPhone and iPad
- Open Safari, confirm buyer access and open Selection Book.
- Open Share. Depending on the Safari layout, first open the page menu or More.
- Choose Add to Home Screen. If needed, reveal more share actions or use Edit Actions to find it.
- Turn on Open as Web App when offered, then select Add.
- Open the Selection Book icon from your Home Screen while still online and complete offline setup there.
The icon is added on this device only. A new installed app can use separate project storage from the Safari tab; use a backup to move an existing project.
Install on Android
- Open Google Chrome, confirm buyer access and open Selection Book.
- Open Chrome's More menu. Choose Install and create shortcut → Install, or Install app / Add to Home screen when that wording is offered.
- Follow the installation prompts. If Chrome offers a choice between installation and a shortcut, choose installation for an app-style launch.
- Open Selection Book from your Home screen or app launcher while online and finish offline setup.
Installation and shortcut behavior depend on your Android browser and device. Chrome must remain installed. You can use the PWA in a Chrome tab if installation is not offered.
3. Prepare offline usage
Buyer confirmation and initial offline setup need internet. Check offline readiness in the browser or installed app you will use: wait for Ready offline. After setup, local project work can continue offline. Updates and buyer-access recovery need internet.
- Open the browser tab or installed app you will actually use while connected to the internet. Confirm buyer access again if asked.
- Keep it open until Selection Book shows Ready offline. Initial setup saves the application resources on this device.
- Keep an independent project backup. You can then reopen this prepared browser or app and work locally offline.
Installing an icon does not complete this setup. Each device, browser profile or separate installed-app storage needs its own preparation. Stay online for updates or access recovery. Use Check for update when you want the app to check for an update; follow any in-app instructions and keep a backup before switching versions.
4. Backups and device changes
Changes save automatically in this browser on this device. Export independent .renokeep backups; RenoKeep does not upload, sync or keep a cloud copy of your projects.
- In Project, choose Export dated backup copy, or start from Export backup. Finish the browser's save/download prompt.
- Keep the resulting
.renokeepfile somewhere independent of this browser's website data. If the app requests file verification, select the downloaded file to verify it. - To change devices, transfer that backup file yourself. Confirm buyer access and prepare offline use on the other device.
- Choose Open project on the start screen, or Open another project in Project, and select your backup. Check the restored project before continuing.
Moving a backup is a copy, not synchronization. Edits on two devices do not merge automatically. Export another backup before switching back. Clearing website data, removing an app with its data, switching profiles or losing a device can remove local projects and offline setup.
5. Troubleshooting
No access email arrived
Use the email address from your purchase. Check spam, junk and other inbox folders for the newest RenoKeep access email. Allow time for delivery before requesting another link. If the purchase used another address or delivery still fails, contact RenoKeep support. Never send passwords, payment-card details or access links.
The access link expired or was already used
Return to buyer access, request a new link and use only the newest email within 15 minutes. Open it in your intended browser and select Confirm buyer access. Access links are single-use.
The app cannot be installed
Open the actual PWA in a current browser from the platform table, outside private browsing or an embedded email/social browser. Look in the browser menu if no address-bar icon appears. If already installed, use its existing icon. A managed device may restrict installation. Browser use is available without installing an icon; do not clear project data to fix a missing install option.
Offline setup is not complete
Reconnect in the exact browser or installed app where you want to work, confirm access if requested and keep Selection Book open until Ready offline appears. Allow website storage and keep independent backups. A Home-screen shortcut alone is not proof that the application files are available offline.
My project is missing on a new device or in an installed app
Projects are local to their browser/app storage; email recovery does not transfer them. Export a .renokeep backup from the original working copy and import that file into the destination. Do not delete the original browser's data while moving the project.
Restore a backup file
Choose Open project, or Open another project in Project, and select the .renokeep backup. Verify the project after opening. If a file is rejected, keep the original unchanged and try another independent backup or contact support. RenoKeep cannot recover a project when all local copies and backups are lost.
Contact RenoKeep support for product-use or access-delivery problems. Paddle handles transaction-side billing and order questions.
